Sheriff’s investigators executed the indictment on him June 15. He remains in the Shelby County Jail without bond, according to the release.

Carrie Gentry was reported missing on March 29. Her vehicle was located on April 10 submerged in an abandoned quarry in Leeds. Carrie Gentry’s body was found in the vehicle, and a subsequent autopsy determined that her death was a homicide.

Shelby County Sheriff Chris Curry said he believes the correct person has been charged with the crime.
