Billie B. “B.B” White, age 91, of Columbiana, passed away Friday, June 15, 2012 at Chandler Health and Rehab facility. Funeral services will be 2 p.m., Wednesday, June 20, 2012 at Bolton Funeral Home, Columbiana with Rev. Mike Miller officiating. Burial will follow at Columbiana City Cemetery. Visitation will be 1-2 p.m. prior to the service at Bolton Funeral Home, Columbiana.

Bill was a charter member of The Club in Birmingham and Buxahatchee Country Club in Calera. He was also a member of the Shriners, Masons, Lions Club, American Legion and VFW. He served as a Boy Scout Leader for many years in Columbiana.

His career encompassed State Farm Insurance from October 5, 1955 through March 27, 1957. He then went to Liberty National Insurance Company from March 28, 1957 until August 5, 1966. From there he went to Vulcan Life Insurance Company as a Vice President from August 5, 1966 until his retirement on May 1, 1986.

Mr. White is preceded in death by his wife, Gayle White and a daughter, Gina White Knighten. He is survived by his daughters, Linda Fulton of Helena and Marsha Velmer (Michael) of Lilburn, Ga.; brother, Walter B. “Duds” White Jr. of Gulf Shores; grandchildren, Jason Velmer (Micki) of Atlanta, Ga. and Zach Velmer (Jenn) of Santa Cruz, Calif.; and many nieces, nephews and other family and friends.
