An Alabaster childcare center will be hosting a Family Fun Day at its school on Saturday, June 30 to show its appreciation for local parents, the center’s director said.

Childcare Network, which operates a school at 1624 Kent Dairy Road, will host the Family Fun Day at its school campus.

The event, which is being held to “show appreciation to our hard-working families’ stories,” will feature games, activities, refreshments, arts, entertainment, prizes and promotions, said school Director Theo Schaffer.

Information about Childcare Network also will be available during the event, Schaffer said. Schaffer said the Childcare Network offers transportation to and from several local schools and features newly remodeled classrooms and activity centers, playgrounds with a basketball court and programs for kids ages 6 weeks to 12 years.

“We just wanted to do something to show appreciation for all of our hard-working parents,” Schaffer said.
