Time to wake up: It’s later than ever

A farmer had an old clock that was just about gone. One night it struck 16 times. He woke up, and told his wife, “Get up! It’s later than it’s ever been.”

When we look at all that is happening in this world, we see so much wickedness it boggles the mind. Genesis 6:5 reads “And God saw the wickedness of man was great in the earth, and that every imagination of the thoughts of his heart was only evil continually.”

We look around and wonder, “Can it get any worse?” Six chapters into the Bible, God saw the wickedness of man was great in the earth. This grieved God so that “it repented the Lord that He had made man.” Genesis 6:8 reads “But Noah found grace in the eyes of the Lord.”

God sees us, and God knows us. Because of one man Adam, sin entered the world, and death passed upon all men. This is how sin works in our lives:  Men + Sin = Death and Everlasting punishment in Hell.

But Noah, a good man, a righteous man, and a man that walked with God, was the one that saved mankind from total annihilation. One man made a difference. Noah found grace in the eyes of the Lord. He preached, he and his sons built the Ark; Noah lived godly in an ungodly world.

No one listened as Noah preached “It was later than it’s ever been.” I am here to tell you the sin of Noah’s day — homosexuality, adultery, fornication and every ungodly imagination, is in action today. Sin has a way of integrating itself into society where it becomes acceptable.

Sin is not acceptable to God, nor should it be acceptable to God’s people.

Jesus came as a new Adam. Through this one man, God restored life back into dead men. This is how salvation works: Men + Believing = Restoration and Eternal life in Heaven.

You and I have a job to do, to warn the wicked, that surely “it is later than it’s ever been.”
