Chelsea goalie helps team to win in boys’ all-star soccer match

Chelsea High School rising senior goalkeeper Josh Carpenter didn’t allow a goal in 45 minutes of action in his North team’s 3-1 win over the South at the YMCA Folmar Field in Montgomery in the Alabama High School Athletic Association All-Star Sports Week.

Briarwood Christian School rising senior Kyle Kimel finished with one assist in the contest, setting up teammate Chris Gregory for a goal in the 45th minute of the match.

Pelham High School rising senior Ryan Tapley, Oak Mountain High School rising senior Mills Sproull and Spain Park High School rising senior Chris Jaudon finished with one shot on goal in the match.

Oak Mountain High School rising senior Wes Sandlin, Spain Park High School rising senior Hudson Carr and Westminster School at Oak Mountain rising senior Wellford Moore each saw action in the North team’s victory.

The North squad was coached by Chelsea High School coach Lee Miller.
