The Virco school furniture manufacturing and supply company soon will open its first office in the Birmingham area after it recently leased real estate in Pelham.

The California-based furniture company signed the lease with the Birmingham-based J.H. Berry and Gilbert real estate company for 500 square feet at 329 Business Circle in Pelham.

Business Circle is off U.S. 31 near its intersection with Industrial Park Drive.

Virco manufactures and supplies a range of school furniture, such as desks, seating, audio-visual equipment and more.
