Benny Earl “Blue Eagle” Whitfield passed away at his home on Monday, July 30, 2012. Benny enjoyed attending Old Union Baptist Church, as well as hunting and fishing. He was preceded in death by his son, Bryan Whitfield; sister, Gloria Donaldson; and brothers, Don and Lynn Whitfield.

Benny is survived by his wife and best friend Dorothy “Dot” Whitfield; daughter, Amanda Roulaine; brothers, Glenn and J. C. Whitfield; eight grandchildren; one aunt; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

Visitation was on Wednesday, August 1, 2012 at Old Union Baptist Church in Randolph from 6-8 p.m. for friends. His funeral will be on Thursday, August 2, 2012 at Old Union Baptist Church in Randolph at 11 a.m. He will lie-in-state one hour prior to his service. Rev.
