Ruth Kite Glass, age 86, of Shelby County, passed away on July 30, 2012. She was a member of Dawson Memorial Baptist Church. She is preceded in death by her husband, Leslie Glass, and her daughter, Gay Glass Joe. She is survived by her son, James Glass (Lynda); sister, Margaret Atchison; grandchildren, April Brand, Allison Boozer, Chris Joe and his siblings, Jennifer Taylor and Justin Joe; and six great-grandchildren.

Services were Wednesday, August 1, 2012 at 11 a.m. at Jefferson Memorial Funeral Home. Visitation was an hour prior to services. Burial followed at Jefferson Memorial Garden East. Rev. Tom Hammond officiated over the services. Jefferson Memorial Trussville directed.
