The Helena Business Association will host a “meet the candidate” forum on Aug. 12 to allow Helena voters to get to know the city’s mayoral and City Council candidates.

During the event, which will be held from 1-4 p.m. at the Helena Recreation Center off Alabama 261, Helena’s mayoral and City Council candidates will set up booths and displays and will host a meet-and-greet session with Helena residents.

The HBA will provide refreshments during the event.

“The objective is to allow the candidates and the citizens of Helena to have an open dialog with each other,” read an HBA press release.

Helena’s municipal elections will be held from 7 a.m.-7 p.m. on Aug. 28.
