OTM Touchdown Club guest speaker lineup set

The Over the Mountain Touchdown Club of Birmingham is set to kick off its 2012 season with an impressive lineup of speakers.

The Club, which is beginning its fourth season, has gained national attention as host of the annual Bobby Bowden National Coach of the Year Award. Through the efforts of this prestigious award and partnering with national sponsors, the Club will continue to give back to local high school athletes and their schools.

The Club will kick off the season on Sunday, Sept. 9 with University of South Alabama head coach Joey Jones as the featured speaker for the night.

Meetings will be held on Sunday nights at the Hilton Hotel Perimeter Park South just off U.S. 280 in Birmingham. Reception and cocktails begin at 5:30 p.m. with dinner and the night’s featured speaker following at 6 p.m.

This year’s lineup of speakers includes Lars Anderson, Sarah Patterson, Jimbo Fisher, Dennis Dodd and Mal Moore. University of Alabama offensive coordinator, Doug Nussmeir, will speak to the Club on Sept. 23 with a special Skype appearance by head coach Nick Saban.

Auburn University offensive coordinator Scot Loeffler and former Auburn player Cole Cublic will speak on Sept. 30. The Club is pleased to announce that Coach Bobby Bowden will return to Birmingham on Nov. 11 to speak to the Club.
