Voting locations set for Aug. 28 municipal elections

Voting locations have been set for the Aug. 28 elections in municipalities across the county. Locations will be open from 7 a.m.-7 p.m.

Shelby County will see 13 municipal elections that day.

All Alabaster citizens will vote at the Shelby County Instructional Services Center at 601 First St. N.

All voters in Calera will cast ballots at the Calera Community Center, located at 8560 U.S. 31.

All Chelsea residents will vote at Chelsea City Hall, located at 11611 Chelsea Road.

In Columbiana, all voters will go to the Columbiana Recreation Center across from the Shelby County High School football field.

In Harpersville, all voters will cast ballots at the Harpersville Town Hall, located at 83 Town Hall Lane.

In Helena, all voters will cast ballots at the Helena Community Center at 110 Sports Complex Drive.

Hoover citizens have several different voting locations, including the Hoover Park and Recreation Center at 600 Municipal Drive; Hoover Public Library at 200 Municipal Drive; St. Peter’s Catholic Church at 2061 Patton Chapel Road; Oakmont Presbyterian Church, at 1817 Patton Chapel Road; Shades Crest Baptist Church at 452 Park Ave.; Bluff Park United Methodist Church at 733 Valley St.; Prince of Peace Catholic Church at 4600 Preserve Parkway; Hunter Street Baptist Church at 2600 John Hawkins Parkway; Riverchase Church of Christ at 1868 Montgomery Highway; Hoover Fire Station No. VII at 100 Inverness Parkway; Hoover Fire Station No. VIII at 121 Village St.; Greystone Farms Clubhouse at 1000 Farmhouse Road; and the Ross Bridge Welcome Center at 2101 Grand Ave.

Hoover voters should have received a notice in the mail to let them know their designated voting locations.

All Indian Springs voters will vote at the Indian Springs Town Hall at 2635 Cahaba Valley Road.

In Montevallo, voters in Districts 1 and 4 will vote at University Baptist Church at 440 Overland Road. Voters in District 2 will vote at Montevallo City Hall at 545 Main St. Voters in Districts 3 and 5 will vote at the Orr Park Building at 420 Vine St.

In Pelham, all voters will cast ballots at the Pelham Civic Complex at 500 Amphitheater Road.

All Vincent citizens will vote at Vincent Town Hall, located at 25 Florey Street.

Westover is not holding a municipal election, as none of the candidates faced opposition.

All Wilsonville voters should go to the Wilsonville United Methodist Church, located at 111 School St.

In Wilton, all voters should go to the Wilton Community Center at 260 Church St.
