The Hope Christian School volleyball team defeated Rock Christian 25-17, 25-14, 25-20 in its season-opening match Aug. 21.

Joelle Reed, Emma Boggan and Lindy Walker led the Eagles (1-0) with one kill each in the victory.

Erin Douglas led Hope Christian with three service aces and one dig. Rebekah King added two service aces and one assist, while Boggan and Walker chipped in one service ace each.

Bethany Parker also contributed one assist in the win.
