The Chelsea High School volleyball team defeated Spain Park 20-25, 24-26, 25-14, 25-22, 20-18 in an Alabama High School Athletic Association Class 6A, Area 8 contest Aug. 23.

Holly Marbut led the Hornets (1-0) with 15 kills in the victory.

Courtney Campbell added 13 kills. Emma Cotney contributed a team-high 18 digs to go along with four service aces. Chelsea Tyson also added four service aces.

Madison Turner contributed a team-high 29 assists in the win.

Kylie Beaubien led Spain Park (0-1) with 15 kills.

Morgan Scott added 11 kills. Madison Bearden finished with six kills, while McKenna McLain posted four kills.

Jordan Nakayama posted a team-high 30 assists and seven service aces.
