HOOVER — A local nonprofit organization recently moved into a permanent location close to Valleydale Road and is holding an open house for the community Sept. 8.

Cahaba Valley Health Care, which provides vision and dental care to the underserved in Shelby and Jefferson counties, recently moved from a trailer to its new location at 4515 Southlake Parkway, Suite 150 in Hoover, according to a press release.

The nonprofit was able to move into the new location with support from Walmart and the Community Foundation of Greater Birmingham.

The new space allows for offices for the staff members and opened up five new dental rooms for patients.

Cahaba Valley Health Care will host an open house Sept. 8 from 10-11 a.m. to show off the new facilities to the community. Brunch will be provided at no charge, according to the press release.

A grant from the Junior League of Alabama helped pay to rent the space next door, which is being renovated to allow for a pediatric dental clinic. Cahaba Valley Health Care and the UAB School of Dentistry will partner to man the pediatric clinic.
