PHENIX CITY-Kingwood Christian fell to Glenwood Academy 53-45 Friday, Sept. 7 at Glenwood Academy.

Kingwood Coach Bob Spurgeon said he was proud of the way his team played against a quality opponent.

“We were in the game the whole night just ran out of time in the end,” Spurgeon said. “It was a tough situation.”

The Lions were led by Titus Adams scoring in three different ways by having a receiving touchdown,  a muffed punt touchdown, and the final touchdown on a fumble recovery.  Junior receiver Johnathan Faulkner had a receiving touchdown while junior receiver Montez Haynes added another touchdown. Sophomore Gavin Sumrall also had a receiving touchdown.
