Child collides with car in Pelham

A 10-year-old girl suffered non-life-threatening injuries on Sept. 28 after she ran into the side of a moving vehicle on Helena Road.

Pelham police received a call reporting the child had been hit by the car at about 6:15 a.m. When officers and firefighters responded to the scene, they discovered the girl was attempting to cross Helena Road when she ran into the side of the moving vehicle.

The child, along with her mother, were transported by ambulance to Children’s Hospital for medical evaluation.
