Jags’ Strong wins Two-Mile Tune Up

Spain Park’s Jordan Strong led the Jaguars to a team championship in the Two-Mile Tune Up held at Hoover’s Veterans Park on Sept. 29.

Strong lead a trio of Spain Park runners to win the boys’ race with a time of 10:36.10. Rome Fiore (10:38.59) and Sam Lorino (10:43.54) finished second and third to help the Jaguars win the team title with 23 points over Hoover.

Jessica Bilek led the Spain Park girls’ runners with a fifth place finish with a time of 13:19.74. Allison Halperin (13:.48.80) and Madi Shore (14:13.58) placed in the top-10 for the Lady Jags.

Spain Park cross country will return to action on Saturday at the Jessie Owens Classic in Moulton.
