Scholarship assistance program set for potential ‘Bama students

The Shelby County University of Alabama alumni chapter will host a scholarship and admission assistance program for Shelby County high school sophomores, juniors and seniors who are interested in attending UA.

Students, parents and school counselors can attend either of two sessions scheduled in Shelby County. Admission is free, but registration is required at least one week prior and seating is limited.

The sessions will cover the college application process, application for scholarships, information for financial aid services and residential housing.

Sessions will be Tuesday, Oct. 16 at 6 p.m. at the North Shelby Library on Cahaba Valley Road and Tuesday, Oct. 23 at 6 p.m. at the Roy Downs Memorial Library in Calera.
