Oak Mountain taken the distance at Northridge

The Oak Mountain Eagles volleyball team found themselves in battle on the road at Northridge and was able to finish strong in the fifth set to take a 20-25, 25-19, 20-25, 25-21, 15-4 victory on Oct. 2.

Emily Cosgrove posted a team-high 38 kills in the five-set match with four blocks. Hannah Beach added 32 assists with 12 kills and Peyton McKinley led the defense with 14 digs with seven aces. Madison Pearce had five kills and a team-high four blocks for the Eagles.

The Eagles return to action on Thursday when they host Pelham in Class 6A, Area 8 play.
