The Montevallo High School volleyball team battled back late in its match against Bibb County but fell in five sets (25-19, 19-25, 28-30, 25-21, 12-15) on Oct. 4.

Kerringtan Maddox led the Lady Bulldogs with 13 kills and three solo blocks with McKenna Anderson adding 10 kills.

Megan Draper finished with eight kills with Sarah Hyde adding six kills and nine aces. Odalys Gallo led Montevallo with 20 assists.

Montevallo returns to action on Oct. 9 when they host Tarrant in its final area match.
