MONTEVALLO – The University of Montevallo men’s soccer team won its second consecutive Peach Belt Conference match Oct. 10 after knocking off visiting Georgia Southwestern State University 2-0 at Varsity Field.

The Falcons (8-3-1 overall, 5-1-1 in Peach Belt Conference) scored a pair of goals in the second half to pick up their fifth conference win of the season.

Junior Jackson Tolleson gave Montevallo a 1-0 lead in the 51^st minute of the match with his goal off an assist from senior Shane Howard.

The Falcons pushed their lead to 2-0 when sophomore Pierre Omanga netted his 10^th goal of the season off an assist from fellow sophomore Giuliano Frano in the 88^th minute of the contest.

Junior goalkeeper Brendan Ledgeway posted his sixth shutout of the season in the victory.

Montevallo, which is ranked No. 4 in the latest National Soccer Coaches Association of America NCAA Division II Southeast Region poll, returns to action Oct. 13 with a Peach Belt Conference match on the road at USC Aiken at 2:30 p.m.
