Know your correct voting location

Dear Editor,
I think it would be helpful to remind citizens that they should be aware of their correct voting location for the upcoming national/statewide Nov. 6 election.
I am a poll worker for both our municipal and our national/state elections.
All residents vote at Pelham Civic Center for the municipal election but for the national/statewide elections voters have designated voting stations determined by their residence — not necessarily the Pelham Civic Center.
There is always mass confusion when the municipal and national/state elections are so close together and residents seem to think because they voted at the Civic Center they should go back there for the national election.
There is a website in case a resident is not sure of their location. It is: Shelbyal.com/Registrar/poll_location1.asp.
If you could include a reminder in your newspaper before the Nov. 6 election, all poll workers would be most appreciative.
