Chelsea

The City Council of the city of Chelsea met for a work session on Sept. 24 at 6:30 p.m. at Chelsea City Hall. The following elected officials were found to be present: Robert Barnes, Juanita Champion, Dale Neuendorf and Mayor Earl Niven. Absent were Jeffrey Denton and Tony Picklesimer.

The purpose of the special called work session was for the mayor and Council to discuss the proposed 2012-2013 city of Chelsea budget.

Items for particular discussion in the budget were the hiring of eight fulltime firemen for the Chelsea Fire and Rescue Team, which will include benefits.

There being no further business for discussion, a motion to adjourn was made by Robert Barnes and seconded by Juanita Champion. A voice vote was taken, and it was a unanimous, “yes.”
