I would like to thank all those who stopped by the “War Story” exhibit at the Shelby County Fair.

I met a lot of our military veterans and I received an overwhelming response about the exhibit honoring my late grandfather’s account of his time in WWII during Operation Dragoon on Aug. 15, 1944.

I will be attempting to organize a tribute to our veterans past and present in the near future.

Hopefully we can get locals to come out to the Expo Hall and showcase their veterans memorabilia for the public to view. I have asked the Kiwanis Club to help me organize this event and perhaps we can get donations for the “Wounded Soldiers/Fisher House” charity fundraisers.
