The Briarwood Christian School volleyball team fell in the first round of the Class 5A Super Regional tournament to Boaz in three sets, 25-19, 25-22, 25-22 on Oct. 26.

“We played well but not great,” said Briarwood Christian head coach Tien Le. “We were competitive in every set; we just needed to push harder to get over the hump.”

Jennie Reese led Briarwood with seven kills with Mariah Light adding six kills. Adeline Reiser led with 16 assists. Kelly Bemis had 11 digs and three aces while Hope Donohue led with 16 digs.

Briarwood finishes the season with a 22-19 record.
