James E. McGowin, age 78, of Wilsonville, passed away on Oct. 25, 2012. Graveside service will be at 11 a.m. on Oct. 27 at Prospect Baptist Cemetery. Visitation will be Oct. 27 at Prospect Baptist Church #1 from 9:30-11 a.m.

Mr. McGowin is preceded in death by a grandson, Connor Wright. Mr. McGowin is survived by his wife, Emma Sue McGowin; sons, Pastor Barry McGowin (Karen) of Mount Calvary Independent Baptist Church of Wilsonville and Dr. Jerald McGowin (Marjorie); daughter, Gwen Wright; nine grandchildren; one great-grandchild; and other family and friends.
