Three charged with armed robbery at Hardee’s

CALERA – The Calera Police Department arrested and charged two Calera men and a juvenile in connection with an armed robbery at Hardee’s Oct. 12.

Calera resident Jewun Bivins, 18, was arrested Oct. 23 and charged with robbery first degree and theft of property second degree, and was released on bonds totaling $30,000. Brandon Johnson, 18, of Calera was arrested Oct. 14 and charged with robbery first degree, theft of property second degree and receiving stolen property third degree. Johnson was released on bonds totalingl $31,000.

A 17-year-old male was also arrested and charged with robbery first degree and theft of property second degree. His bond totals $30,000 for both charges.

According to police reports, the robbery occurred around 5:30 a.m. Oct. 12. At least three robbers allegedly forced their way into the business and stole $523, the report stated.
