I have a very easy solution to the campaign signs that stay up for weeks and weeks after an election.

The city publishes the final date the signs must be removed and if they are not, the city removes them and sends an invoice to the person whose name is on the sign at the rate of $100 per sign.

If the invoice is not paid, it is published in the paper that they would not pay nor clean up their signs. I believe this would eliminate the signs.
