MONTEVALLO – The University of Montevallo women’s basketball team received a signed letter-of-intent from Bre’ana Singleton during the NCAA early signing period.

Singleton is a 5-foot-4 point guard from Collins Hill High School in Suwanee, Ga. Singleton will enroll at the University of Montevallo as a freshman in the fall of 2013.

“Bre is a tough, hard-nosed point guard that knows how to create shots for others,” said Montevallo women’s basketball coach Cindy Hilbrich. “She has good court awareness and communicates well with her teammates and coaches. Bre will help push our program in the right direction.”

Singleton averaged eight points per game during her junior season. The floor leader also averaged five assists and three steals per contest last season.

Singleton has compiled a 3.8 grade-point average through her junior year at Collins Hill High School. Singleton plans to major in Communication Studies at the University of Montevallo.
