Knights hold off Fayetteville

The Westminster School of Oak Mountain Knights took a commanding lead early over the Fayetteville Wolves for a 57-30 victory Nov. 27.
The Knights (2-2) held Fayetteville to just seven points in the first half to take a 32-7 lead headed into the third quarter.
The Wolves didn’t give up and scored 11 points in the third and 12 points in the fourth, but it wasn’t enough to overcome the halftime deficit. Westminster scored 19 points in the third to maintain their lead.
Jacob Welch led the Knights with 16 points along with three rebounds and two steals. Jake Doggett finished with 12 points, seven boards and a pair of blocks.
