SafeHouse of Shelby County and the Pelham YMCA are teaming up to give local women a chance to check some items off their Christmas lists and receive some pre-holiday pampering while helping victims of domestic and sexual abuse.

Ladies’ Night at the Y will be held on Monday, Dec. 3 from 6-9 p.m. at the Pelham YMCA off U.S. 31. The event will be free, and will feature local vendors, such as Shaklee, Willow House, Arbonne, Scentsy, Bake Sale 4 Charity and more.

During the event, the YMCA will also offer self-defense and BodyJAM classes, couponing classes and hula-hooping for fitness demonstrations. Wellness vendors will feature pampering sessions including chair massages and more.

Proceeds from Ladies’ Night at the Y will benefit YMCA scholarships for the children of SafeHosue of Shelby County, which provides services to local victims of domestic and sexual violence.

Donations and money raised through a silent auction at the event will support those using SafeHouse and YMCA services, and will help children living in the SafeHouse shelter to attend summer camp at the Pelham YMCA.

The free event will be open to everyone, whether they are YMCA members or not. Free child care services will be available from 6-8 p.m., and door prizes will be given to event attendees.
