Marie Salser Burnett, age 88, of Clanton, passed away on Dec. 6, 2012. Funeral service will be at 2 p.m.. on Dec. 8 at Union United Methodist Church with Rev. Dale Collins officiating. She will lie-in-state from noon until 2 p.m. before the service. Burial will follow in Union UMC Cemetery. Visitation will be Dec. 7 from 5-7 p.m. at Bolton Funeral Home, Columbiana. She is a member of Sunshine Assembly of God in Clanton.

Mrs. Burnett is preceded in death by her husband, James Burnett. She is survived by her children, Patricia Ann Poe (Norman), James Robert Burnett (Pat), Carolyn Burnett and Renita Robertson (John); nine grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; and a host of other family and friends.
