Ray Wallace Gaines Sr., age 78, of Montevallo, passed away Dec. 9, 2012, at his home. He was preceded in death by his parents, Raybon and Hazel Gaines.

Ray is survived by his wife of 56 years, Faye Gaines; daughters, Donna Morris (Darrell) and Angela Gaines Acton; sons, Ray Gaines Jr. and Clay Gaines (Carlene); sister, Ina Anderson; and grandchildren, Tyler Doriety, Gray Gaines, Lewis Gaines, Josh Acton, Rene Lucas (Jerrod), D.J. Morris (Megan) and Kayla Gaines.

Visitation will be held Dec. 11 from 6-8 p.m. at Rockco Funeral Home Montevallo. Funeral services will be held Dec. 12 at University Baptist Church at 2 p.m. with Reverend Robin Norsworthy officiating. Burial will follow at Montevallo Cemetery.

Pallbearers will include D.J. Morris, Tyler Doriety, Gray Gaines, Lewis Gaines, Josh Acton and Jerrod Lucas.
