Hoover executive director inducted into housing hall of fame

HOOVER — Allen Pate, the executive director for the city of Hoover, was recently inducted into the Greater Birmingham Association of Home Builders Hall of Fame.

Pate was inducted into the hall of fame as part of the legislative category.

Pate joins more than 100 other inductees in the hall of fame, which was established in 1981.

Other inductees this year include Brett Winford of Authentic Building Company, Rob Dreher of Alabama Power Company and state Sen. Jabo Waggoner.

Greystone resident Alicia Huey was also installed as the 2013 president of the Greater Birmingham Association of Home Builders.
