Jewel Marie (Seales) Brasher

Jewel Marie (Seales) Brasher of Pelham passed away on Dec. 20, 2012, at her home. She was born Dec. 20, 1933, to Charles Audry and Naomi (Massey) Seales of Alabaster.

Jewel retired in 1994 with Alabama Power Company in Pelham after 26 years of service.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 49 years, Norman Rockwell Brasher.

Jewel is survived by her children, Norman Michael “Mike” Brasher and Joyce Marie “Joy” (Brasher) Gardner; granddaughter, Faith Madison “Faith” Gardner; four brothers, Charles E. Seales (Martine), Wilburn A. Seales (Patsy), David L. Seales (Lola) and Bobby Joe Seales (Diane); and sister-in-law, Bonnie (Brasher) Sorrell.

Visitation is Dec. 21 from 6-8 p.m. at Southern Heritage Funeral Home, Pelham. Funeral services will be Dec. 22 at 2 p.m. at Southern Heritage Funeral Home with Dr. Mike Shaw officiating. Burial will follow at Pelham City Cemetery.
