William Lamar Mills

Clanton

William Lamar Mills, age 71 of Clanton, passed away on Dec. 27, 2012, at his residence. He was born in Hosford, Fla., on May 5, 1941, the son of the late Edward Mills and the late Eunice Farmer Mills. He was a cabinet maker.

He is survived by daughter, Sheila Burnett (John) of Montevallo; sons, Joseph “Jody” Mills (Kathy) of Clanton, Michael Mills (Sherry) of Clanton and Elvis Wayne Mills of Georgia; seven grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; brothers, Vernon Mills (Joyce) of Georgia, Hubert Mills (Jean) of Georgia and Wayne Mills of Alabama; and sister, Cindy Mann of Florida.

Visitation was held on Dec. 30 from 6-8 p.m. at Ellison-Cleckler Funeral Home. Funeral services to be held on Dec. 31 at 11 a.m. from New Hope Assembly of God Church with Rev. Austin Ball officiating. Burial will follow in the New Hope Assembly of God Cemetery in Clanton.
