The Spain Park Jaguars opened Class 6A, Area 8 play with a 57-42 victory at Chelsea Jan. 8.

The Jags opened the game on a 17-2 run to take a 22-8 lead after the first quarter and never looked back.

Deion Wright led Spain Park with 17 points. Jonathan Toups added 15 points while Drew Morgan scored 11 points.

Austin Washington led Chelsea with 13 points with Malik Abrams scoring 10 points for the Hornets.
