The Shelby County Wildcats fought back from a 4-point halftime deficit to claim a 50-46 Class 5A, Area 8 victory over Sylacauga Jan. 8.

The Wildcats trailed 24-20 at the half and battled to tie the game 34-34 after the third. Shelby County turned up the heat in the fourth when they scored a game-high 16 points in the fourth to claim the 50-46 win.

Tyler Madison led all scorers with 26 points for the Wildcats.
