Phillip Kelce of Calera and Michael Bratton of Opelika, Ala. won the team roping competition Thursday evening on the first day of the Professional Cowboys Association (PCA) Rodeo Finals.

The Finals event is the culmination of year-long competition and is being held at the Mississippi Coast Coliseum. The $250,000, four-day event, is presented by The Beau Rivage Resort Casino, Coca Cola and Bartlett Ranch.

The competition includes Bareback Riding, Calf Roping, Saddle Bronc Riding, Steer Wrestling, Breakaway Roping, Ladies Barrel Racing, Team Roping and Bull Riding. Four rounds of competition were held in each event with daily winners with the determination of category winners and the all-around champion on Sunday.
