From the outside, A Winning Streak Soccer Shop looks tiny. Walk inside, however, you will be surprised by its spaciousness and the colors of the rainbow hanging from ceiling to floor on every wall.

Soccer shirts, uniforms, shoes, socks, pads and other items are on display everywhere. Bright lighting brings out the brilliant colors. It is simply a beautiful place. The shop is next to the Sunny Store at U.S. 119 and Caldwell Mill Road.

The owners of A Winning Streak, Steve and Cindy Woolsey, opened the store in July 1990. They first specialized in selling trophies. “We opened here because it seemed like a good fit to be near where people lived, instead of downtown where they worked,” said Steve.

After the store was open several years, they noticed the neighborhood kids all playing soccer. According to Steve, “We were having coffee after a neighborhood Bible study one night. One of the neighbors said, ‘Why don’t you open a soccer shop?’” Steve replied, “I can do that.” Soccer became the focus of their Christian-based, Indian Springs business.

A Winning Streak carries all the latest brands of soccer gear: Adidas, Under Armour, Diadora, and Joma. If there is something else you need, Cindy and Steve can get it for you. The store number is 995-5533.

One of the most interesting aspects of owning A Winning Streak is all the conversations the owners share with the soccer players and parents who are their customers. Over the years, Steve and Cindy have made good friends with many people. Discussions concerning soccer equipment, training and coaching, playing the game, and even parenting have given them a wealth of valuable knowledge.

Customers come to A Winning Streak to learn about the different brands of soccer equipment. On the Internet, you cannot actually touch the products for sale until after you buy them. Being able to see and physically compare products before you buy is a big advantage for customers. In addition, the owners are happy to share the expertise they have gained over the years from the people who actually used the products.
