County schools will delay opening by two hours Friday morning, according to a press release from the Shelby County School System.

Temperatures could fall below freezing on Thursday night, and the school system made the decision to delay “to ensure the safety of our students and our staff,” according to the release.

Bus schedules also will run on a two-hour delay.
