Several Shelby County high school sporting events were canceled Jan. 17 due to the wintery weather that swept through the county.

Kingwood Christian canceled its boys’ and girls’ basketball games against Lee-Scott. No makeup date has been announced.

Coosa Valley Academy was set to travel to East Memorial for girls and boys basketball but the game was postponed. The game at EMCA will be made up on Jan. 21.
