Kingwood rallies past Tuscaloosa Academy

The No. 3 Kingwood Christian Lions rallied from an early deficit to take a 57-44 win over No. 5 Tuscaloosa Academy Jan. 25.

The Lions (19-1) trailed 13-8 after the first quarter, but rallied in the second for a 26-22 halftime lead. Kingwood extended the lead to six after the third and scored a game-high 21 points in the fourth to claim the win.

Silas Edwards led the Lions with 19 points. Titus Adams added 15 points and nine rebounds. Josh Purvis and Daniel Fillingim each scored 10 points for Kingwood.
