The Thompson Warriors Black team captured five championships at the Eagle Invitional tournament at Calera Middle School Jan. 26.

Dominic Latona, Austin Lucas, Reed Jacks, Jaden Hunter and Nick Hall each won their respective weight classes. Lucas led the way with three pins to score a team-high 26 points.

Cody Mealer led the Thompson Red team with three points in a sixth place finish in the 122-pound weight class.

Coby Mize, Danny Diaz and Kevin Murry led Calera wrestlers with second place finishes. Mize and Diaz each led the Eagles with 22 team points while Murry scored 20 team points.
