Kindergarteners at Meadow View Elementary School recently donned canes, suspenders and grey wigs as they depicted what they may look like when they are 100 years old.
The school held the dress-up day on Jan. 24 in celebration of the 100th day of school, said MVES kindergarten teacher Kathy Matthews.
The children wore fake glasses resting on the end of their noses, robes, fedoras and even flannel shirts and overalls as they gave their teachers a look into the distant future.
In addition to dressing up to look like they were 100 years old, the kids also made a special snack, wrote about what they will look like when they are 100 years old and conducted math activities challenging them to count to 100 by ones, fives and 10s, Matthews said.
