Evangel Christian jumped out to a 27-9 halftime lead, then cruised through the second half to a 47-27 win over conference rival Evangel Family Christian Academy of Montgomery on Feb. 1. The win avenged a 36-34 loss to the Saints earlier this season.

Seniors Anna Byers and Lacey Entrekin led the way for the Lightning. Byers had 14 points and eight rebounds, while Entrekin tallied 12 points and pulled down seven rebounds. Junior Madison Thames also added eight points for Evangel (10-7).

Kylie Sutton paced EFCA with nine points.
