With strokes of creativity, artist Rik Lazenby projects his skillful visions on not only walls and ceilings, but also on the lives of his inspired students.
A Bessemer native, Lazenby grew up entranced by his uncle, a highly respected artist and teacher who studied in New York and Italy. “Some of my uncle’s artistic energy rubbed off on me,” he said. “When I graduated from high school, not that many people were art majors. But I decided that was the direction I was going to take.”
