During their travels, Tamika and Jonathan Dunning have sampled quite a few Italian places. While they tried many wonderful meals, they never found a place that was completely satisfying.
Finally, they turned to the well-known adage: If you want something done right, do it yourself.
“We’ve always been interested in the restaurant business,” Tamika Dunning said. “Sometimes, if there’s something you want and it’s not there, you create it for yourself.”
About two years ago, the couple purchased La Dolce Vita on U.S. 31 and set about making it into the Italian restaurant of which they’ve always dreamed.
