Georgena Bentley, age 85, died Wednesday, Feb. 6, 2013 at her daughter’s home.

She was a loving mother and wife, also a lifetime member of First Baptist Church of Alabaster.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Harry and Aloria Harris; three sisters, Virgina Bentley, Lolela Allen and Lillie Stallings; and her husband of 30 years, John H. Bentley Jr.

Georgena is survived by a son, Michael Bentley (Cindi) of Douglasville, Ga.; a daughter, Peggy B. Harrison (David) of Alabaster; three grandchildren, Scott, Christopher and Danielle; two great-grandchildren, Erica and Talin; and she was also fortunate enough in her life to have a former daughter-in-law, Jean.

Visitation will be held Friday, February 8, 2013 from 6-8 p.m. at Rockco Funeral Home Montevallo. Funeral services will be held Saturday, Feb. 9, 2013 at 2 p.m. at Rockco Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Mike Byars officiating. Burial will follow at Elliottsville Cemetery.
