Free t-shirts to be handed out at nationally-televised game

MONTEVALLO – Free t-shirts will be handed out to fans in attendance as the University of Montevallo men’s basketball team plays host to the first athletic event broadcast to a national television audience from campus Saturday, Feb. 16 when the Falcons host Clayton State University at Trustmark Arena live on CBS Sports Network.

Several other items, including shakers and megaphones, will also be given out before the game.

Trustmark Arena doors open at 9 a.m.

General admission tickets are available at the door for $5 each. Children 12-and-under are admitted free. All University of Montevallo students and faculty are admitted free with a UM identification card.

The University of Montevallo Opera Ensemble, which recently won the National Opera Association national championship, will perform the National Anthem before the game. The University of Montevallo Pep Band and the Calera High School Band, which performed at the 2013 Presidential Inauguration last month, will also help entertain the audience.
